Fundraising

Kids With Arthritis NZ Charitable Trust is a charity making a difference to the lives of those affected by Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA). We are a parent-led charity with direct experience of JIA, and are run entirely by volunteers. We rely entirely on fundraising and donations, with every dollar raised going directly towards the support that we provide.

Thank you for supporting us through fundraising. Click on the buttons below for more information, and to find out about some of the different ways you can fundraise for us.

Fundraising ideas

There is almost no limit to what you can do to raise funds for Kids With Arthritis NZ. From sponsored events to quiz nights, days out to the beach with games, let your imagination run wild! We’ve put together this list of a few ideas that might help give some inspiration – but don’t be limited by these! Almost all of these ideas can either be done online or in-person, or a combination of the two.

Giving of your time and energy to fundraise can be rewarding and fun, especially if you get your family, friends, child’s school, sports club, or work colleagues involved.
100% of all money raised will go back to the KWANZ children.

In memory of a loved one

One way to honour a loved one when they pass away is by donating in their memory. You can make a gift in memory at any time to celebrate the life of a loved one.

If you’re arranging a funeral or memorial service, you may like to encourage friends and relatives to make a gift to Kids With Arthritis NZ in memory or instead of flowers. Your funeral director will be able to help with this process in a way that best suits you and your family

Corporate Partnering & Sponsorship

Corporate Partnering & Sponsorship_Kids With Arthritis

In order to expand our activities and provide improved support for children with arthritis and their families throughout the country, Kids With Arthritis NZ Charitable Trust are keen to establish partnering and sponsorship relationships with New Zealand businesses.

In return we can offer our sponsors the following:

  • The opportunity to be seen as a good corporate citizen by supporting a national children’s charity.
  • The opportunity to publicise the sponsorship relationship with KWANZ to your customers and staff members.
  • Acknowledgement of your sponsorship on our website and newsletters
  • Acknowledgement of your sponsorship at our events.

Bequests

Kids With Arthritis NZ Charitable Trust is a registered charity in New Zealand (CC58068). Our beginnings go back to 1996. A bequest is an ideal way to make a lasting contribution, to help children who are impacted with this chronic illness of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) and other Autoimmune conditions.

Making a bequest is more than a gift – it is a lifetime of hope to the New Zealand children with Arthritis and other autoimmune conditions. It is one of the most generous and lasting ways you can make a positive difference to these children and teenagers.

It is simple and easy to include in your Will. Bequests for ‘general purpose’ allow us to use these generous gifts, large or small, where most needed.

Volunteer

Kids With Arthritis NZ Charitable Trust is a charity making a difference to the lives of those affected by Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) and other Autoimmune conditions. We are a charity run entirely by volunteers. Our volunteers are parents of a child that has, or did have JIA, health professional, siblings and young adults with (JIA).  So, they all have a personal experience with JIA and bring a wealth of knowledge, life and professional skills to KWANZ.

They are the core of KWANZ. It is thanks to their dedication and passion to support children with Arthritis and their families that we have grown from strength to strength, and are able to provide the much-needed support to these children with a chronic illness.

We would be very happy to discuss in more detail and answer any questions you may have.
